Sponsored Visit Programs
School and Scout groups from underserved districts, who have difficulty covering the expense of a visit to the Hermitage, may be eligible for our sponsored visits program. Certain criteria must be met. The Hermitage Executive Director must approve all requests.
The Hermitage Museum offers “My Role in American History,” a grant program for students from underserved districts. A small amount of funding is also available for scouts from these districts. This program provides funding for those groups who could not otherwise afford to visit the Hermitage and take part in our educational programs. Admission fees may be covered for those groups meeting eligibility criteria. Schools may also apply for sponsored transportation, if required (transportation not available for scouts).
Limit of one sponsored visit per year per class or scout group.
The sponsored visits program’s availability may be limited according to grant money availability.
This program is made possible by the generosity of major donors. We are grateful for their support.
For more information, please contact the office at 201-445-8311 extension 102 or cblaylock@thehermitage.org. Information regarding school district, group size, program choice, and possible dates to visit will be needed.
