With Relish
Preserving food was no easy task in the 19th century, but pickling and canning made it possible to enjoy fruit and veggies all year long. Learn about the history of ketchups, relishes, and other condiments; then try you hand at making a few samples to take home. Recipes from the Rosencrantz family will be provided.

Picturing the Past
The modern craft of scrapbooking has it roots in the Victorian period. Explore the origins of such keepsakes. Then, using albums in The Hermitage collection for inspiration, make your own postcard, photograph, or autograph album. You will also get a chance to take reproductions of some of our postcards and photos home.
The fee for each workshop (including materials) is $30/person for members and $40/person for non-members of Friends of the Hermitage. All children must be accompanied by an adult. There is no charge for one (1) adult accompanying a child age 6-12 if only one set of materials is used.
Register for both workshops and save!
$50/person (members), $70/person (non-members)
Pre-registration is required. Contact Sarah Morgan, Education Coordinator, at 201-445-8311, ext. 33, or smorgan@thehermitage.org.
